Neurology provides compashionate comprehensive, specialized care to infants, children and adolesents with neruological disorders. Among the most frequent conditions treated are learning disabilities, seizeurs, haedaches,tourettes syndrome, brain tumors and neuromuscular disorders. Who was the first neurologist???? these holes were created intentionally to "let out" bad spirits.
This implies that these people had some beleif that the head or brain
had some importance for health and well being . Perhaps these people colud
be considered the first neurologists. There are many important people in the feild of Neurology some of the recent people being: 1991- Erwin Neher amd Bert Sakmann share the Nobel Prize for their work on the function of single ion channels. 1992- National Institute on drug abuse becomes part of the national instituites of health 1994- Alfred G. Gulman and Martin Rodbellshare the Nobel Prize for their discovery of G protein coupled receptors and there role in single transduction 1997- Stanley B Prusiner awareded the Noble Prize for the discovery of pions, a new biological principal of infection 2000- Arvid Carlson, Paul Greengard and Eric Kandel share the Noble Prize for their discoveries concerning single transduction in the nervous system.
